Our directors at Square Mile Broking, Dominic and David decided to take on the challenge of ‘5K Mud Run’ to support the wonderful Emily Ash Trust.
The Emily Ash Trust are a small charity with a big heart and aim to improve the lives of children and young people suffering with cancer proving support and relief to families.
The origins of this charity go back to 1999 where 5 year old Emily Ash was diagnosed with Leukaemia, her close family and friends were desperate to help but as they couldn’t do anything medically they decided to channel their energies into something else. Hence, the Emily Ash Trust was founded in 2002, aiming to raise awareness of the need for more bone marrow donors and funds to enable the lives of parents, carers and siblings of sick children to enjoy some sort of normality during such a difficult time. Emily is now a healthy 21 year old and is 12 years past her bone marrow transplant.
The team made up of Dominic and his daughter, David and his son took on the 5km course completing it in a gruelling 2 hours 15 minutes, raising £1,000. A huge well done to those involved and thank you for your support.
